Known in the hip-hop / rap community as ‘Mr. Biggs’, Ronald Isley, a founding member of the legendary Isley Brothers was found guilty today of five counts of tax evasion and one count of willful failure to file a tax return.
In October 2004, the Cincinnati, Ohio native was indicted on the tax evasion charges and entered a not guilty plea in January of 2005. He now will return to court on January 9th 2006 to hear his sentence.
The R&B singer who has worked with many hip-hop and rap artists, is facing up to 26 years in prison after being found guilty on the tax evasion charges.
Ronnie ‘Mr. Biggs’ Isley, who suffered a minor stroke while in London in July 05, remains best known for his smooth soulful vocals that have graced Isley Brothers hits for the better part of 40 years. The group got its start in 1951 and still today are notable stars.
Ronnie’s smooth vocals can be heard on hip-hop and rap such as the track ‘Better Dayz’ off the late rap icon Tupac Shakur’s ‘Better Dayz’ album. ‘Pimp Juice’ (Jason "Jay E" Epperson remix) off Nelly’s ‘Derrty Versions: The Reinvention’ featured Ronnie ‘Mr. Biggs’ Isley. He has done many colaberations with R Kelly. He has worked with so many in every genre of music.

Kelly gone be sending Ron cigerettes in jail. Ron gone be on somebody else's downlow list.
I hope he doesn't keep his stage name in jail. Somebody gone try to see how big, "Mr. Biggs", really is.
